Academic Dr. Najeebullah Marwat has been chosen to serve on the Pakistani Planning Commission’s committee for science, technology, and ICT. Dr. Marwat has the knowledge and experience necessary to fill this role.

“I have the great pleasure of announcing my recent appointment to the Planning Commission in Islamabad, Pakistan, as Member (Science, Technology, and ICT) (MP1). This is a tremendous accomplishment for me, and I’m incredibly grateful to have been chosen for this position,” Dr. Najeebullah Marwat said.

In addition, he said, “I am excited to play my role at a national level by creating an environment that allows our youth and faculty members across Pakistan to excel in ST & ICT now that I have been appointed as a Member (Science, Technology, and ICT) at the Planning Commission.”

The journey of Najeebullah Marwat began in a small village in Lakki Marwat, where there were few necessities of life and a high standard of education. But despite these difficulties, he persisted in being committed, diligent, and passionate about his objectives.

He attended government schools for his entire education up to the point of earning his Master’s degree, and he put in a lot of effort to advance in his academic studies.

Dr. Najeebullah Marwat is anticipated to advance science, technology, and ICT in Pakistan thanks to his qualifications and experience. The United Kingdom’s University of Cambridge is where Dr. Marwat obtained his PhD.

“I received a scholarship for my PhD studies at the esteemed University of Cambridge in the UK as a result of my perseverance and diligence. I started a spin-off company in the UK and received a patent for my PhD research there during my time there,” “Najeebullah said.

Dr. Marwat was the founding project director and was instrumental in establishing the $20 million US-funded US Pakistan Centre for Advanced Studies in Energy at the University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar. The University of Engineering and Applied Sciences (UEAS), which he also founded in Swat, was endowed with an astounding Rs13 billion.
