The “Global Journal of Food Science & Human Nutrition” was introduced by the University of Home Economics (UHE) Lahore here on Wednesday. The university’s syndicate room was the location of the launching ceremony.

The ceremony was attended by vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Kanwal Ameen. Being the editor-in-chief, Prof. Kanwal expressed her opinions while stating that “Food Science and Human Nutrition is a vast academic field, and the publication of the research journal will help promote and strengthen scholarly academic work.”

She claimed that in order to guarantee the calibre of the research publications, international academics and scholars served on the board of editors and as article reviewers.

She expressed her gratitude to the international journal’s editors, Drs. Asma Bilal, Syed Abdul Wadood, Wahab Ali Khan, Abbas Khan, and Aiza Qamar, for carrying out the academic task. Scholars may directly contact the Department of Food and Nutrition Health at the UHE to submit research papers for publication.

The launch of this journal is a testament to the commitment of the University of Home Economics (UHE) Lahore to advance knowledge and understanding in these areas. UHE is a higher education institution that specializes in the field of home economics.

Food Science and Human Nutrition are important fields of study because they have a direct impact on public health and the quality of life.

The field of food science deals with the physical, chemical, and biological properties of food and the principles of food processing and preservation.  On the other hand, human nutrition deals with the study of the interactions between food and the human body, and how food affects our health and well-being.

A better understanding of food science and human nutrition can help individuals make informed decisions about what they eat and how it affects their health, and also help the food industry create safer, healthier, and more nutritious food products.
