Applications are now open for the National Hepatitis C Hackathon 2021

Teamup has partnered with the Corporate Coalition for Viral Hepatitis Elimination, SensusDx and Ferozsons Laboratories Limited to organize the first-of-its kind hackathon on Hepatitis C eradication.

The hackathon aims to bring innovators, health hackers, entrepreneurs, and medical experts onto a common platform to find solutions that can curb the spread of the disease in Pakistan.

Pakistan has the second highest HCV prevalence in the world. Approximately 11 million people are living with Hep C and on average 64 deaths occur daily due to the disease in the country. While the disease is curable in most cases, however lack of awareness and late diagnosis contribute to the high transmission and death rates in the country.

In 2019, the Corporate Coalition for Viral Hepatitis Elimination was established to improve awareness, education and treatment of Hepatitis C for the coalition employees, their families, and the larger community in Pakistan. Around 18 public and private sector organizations are part of the coalition, with 160k+ employees part of the program.
