The government has approved Rs731.713 million as infrastructure development grant for the Govt Sadiq College Women University, said Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Saiqa Imtiaz Asif here on Friday.
According to a press release, the grant was approved recently by the Central Development Working Party on the recommendations of the federal Higher Education Commission (HEC).
According to the VC, the grant would be released over three years in annual instalments of Rs145m. She said though the public sector university had been established in 2013 under an Act, but it had not received any major development funding from the HEC.
