Ministry of National Food Security and Research, Department of Agriculture and Pakistan : Joint teams of Army are conducting a comprehensive survey and control operation against locusts in different districts of the country. In the affected areas of 42 districts, 972 joint teams are participating in the campaign. So far, an area of 324609.69 sq km (approximately 8.02 crore acres) has been surveyed, while 8335.69 sq km (approximately 20.69 lakh acres) has been controlled. The operation has been performed.More than 5009 people and more than 601 vehicles took part in the survey and control operation. According to the details released by the National Locust Control Center on Thursday , 264323 acres were surveyed in the last 24 hours in Punjab province . 2220 people (including Pakistan Army) and 320 vehicles took part in the survey and control operation .
So far, 2.30 crore acres have been surveyed and operations have been carried out on 837719 acres across the province.In the last 24 hours, 106487 acres were surveyed in Sindh province and operation was carried out in 581 acres in 6 districts (Shaheed Benazirabad, Matiari, Jamshoro, Hyderabad, Sanghar and Matiari). 483 people (including Pakistan Army) and more than 34 vehicles took part in the survey and control operation . So far, 1.86 crore acres have been surveyed and 98738 acres have been operated across the province.In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186468 acres were surveyed in the last 24 hours and 2120 acres were operated on in the presence of locusts in 5 districts (DI Khan, Tank, Lakki Marwat, Karak and Khyber). 988 people (including Pakistan Army) and 127 vehicles took part in the survey and operation . So far, surveys have been conducted on 1.12 crore acres and operations have been carried out on 138060 acres across the province. In the last 24 hours in Balochistan province surveyed 320876 acres and 29 districts (Khuzdar, Awaran, Noshki, Chaghi, Gwadar, Othal, Ketch, Panjgur, Kharan, Washik, Quetta, Barkhan, Dera Bugti, Harnai, Jhal Magsi, Bolan, Kalat, The operation was carried out on 14722 acres in Qila Abdullah, Qila Saifullah, Kohlu, Loralai, Mastung, Musa Khel, Naseerabad, Pishin, Sherani, Sorab, Sohbatpur, Zhob and Ziarat.1318 people and 120 vehicles took part in the operation. So far, a survey has been carried out on 2.73 crore acres across the province and an operation has been carried out on 985276 acres. Also done
