New health policy issued by PCAA for passengers in wake of Coronavirus

New health policy was issued by the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) for passengers traveling from 18th April to 30th April in wake of increasing number of Coronavirus cases in the country.

Official of PCAA said in a statement that all standard operating procedures (SOPs) mentioned in the health forms are to be observed strictly at airports.

PCAA stated that all passengers travelling by air are required to submit their health forms, which include information on flu, cold, cough, and sore throat. The form also states that passengers should enter quarantine if the relevant health officer believes it necessary.

Passengers are also bound to oblige if the quarantine period was extended and pay for food that officials advised. They are legally responsible to pay penalties on providing wrong or false information to the concerned authorities.

On the other hand the present government is required to provide accommodation to passengers according to their preferences.

According to the latest statistics issued by Ministry of health the related to the COVID-19 pandemic has so far infected more than 8,418 people across Pakistan and left over 176 dead.
