The members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Association of Government Graduate Engineers (KPAGE) protested for the acceptance of their demands including up-gradation to new scales, issuance of professional allowance and abolition of illegal quota of engineers having B.Tech qualification.
The protest started from civil secrete to Peshawar press club by the engineers. The protesting engineers were carrying banner in their hands inscribed with slogans in favor of their demands.

As per Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) laws, employees with B.Tech qualification were not considered engineers contended by the office bearers of KPAGE in their speeches.
Meanwhile Akbar Ayub Khan Advisor to KP CM on Communication and Works Department held a meeting with the protesting engineers and assured to bring their problems in the notice of the Chief Minister.

He further added that a meeting was arranged on these efforts under the chairmanship of Secretary C&W KPAGE is a representative body of the engineers of C&W, Irrigation, Public Health Engineering Department and Local Department KP.
