Federal government to recruit about 200 teachers for computer labs of the public sector educational institutions of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).

Adviser to Prime Minister on Education Reforms Programme (PMERP) Ali Raza said that induction of computer teachers will be done by Ministry of Information Technology (IT).

Exams and interviews of the candidates to be conducted in a transparent way by Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) on orders of Ministry of IT.

Ali Raza said that a criterion for the appointment of computer teachers is minimum qualification BS Computer Science, candidates with BS degree in other subjects should have diploma in computer science. Teachers will be hired on contract basis and salaries paid by Ministry of IT.

He said that CADD was establishing modern computer labs in 226 girls’ public educational institutions of the federal capital in association with IT.

Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) would create posts and induct teachers on a regular basis for the labs.

Computer labs would be established in all-girls’ schools of the ICT and the Ministry of IT in first phase.

It is relevant to note here that every one of the 423 open area schools of the ICT was being redesigned under the progressing Prime Minister Education Reforms Program, and the acceptance of PC instructors was a piece of it.
