STAFF REPORT KHI: The significance of coal in energy production is inevitable and cannot be cornered on basis of environmental protection grounds. These comments were made by Head Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum (PBIF), Mian Zahid Hussain during an event focusing on importance of coal and enhancement of energy production through coal.
PBIF official said, “China and India would be using almost half of the world coal resources for energy production in the accompanying two decades. China’s has cut coal demand to six percent due to environmental protection protocols and policies yet India is projected to fill the gap as in coming years it will overtake China in using coal as major energy production source. Pakistan has rich coal reservoirs that can be exploited to produce energy and meet the power demand of the country through coal”.
Environmental change and natural contamination can be restricted through innovation. The world is not in a position to jettison coal always as its dip is impermanent as vitality interest in Asia will hike by 31 percent in 10 years which will be 300 percent higher than the present top Saudi generation.
