USAID’s Pakistan Agricultural Technology Transfer Activity (PATTA) organized an informative training workshop on gender integration and environmental conformity.
Over 30 legislative bodies from leading Punjab-based private sector agri-tech partners participated in a training workshop. Participants discussed the expansion of innovative and reasonable agricultural technologies.
The ultimate aim of this training is to attain Pakistani women entrepreneurs and farmers and inclusion of environmental conformity in Pakistan’s agricultural technology sector.
Representatives from the agriculture sector discussed mechanization and identified factors to make technology effective, appropriate, and affordable for farmers across the country.
USAID Pakistan Agricultural Technology Transfer Activity (PATTA) aims to speed up women’s role in agri business and lift up their incomes. The project also aims to link women to 500 commercialized agricultural technologies for sustainable growth.
USAID’s global Gender’s Equality and Female Empowerment Policy (2012), focuses on integrating gender equality and female empowerment across all levels and strap technology to diminish gender gaps.
