Various cutting-edge robotic technologies and products will be displayed at the 2019 World Robot Conference scheduled for Aug. 20 to 25, conference organizers said
The WRC 2019 aims at promoting scientific and technological progress under the new industrial development trends in the world. It will be a good opportunity for participants to network with the international robotic community, to take advantage of international resources, to attract innovation resources, to use the platform for further international cooperation in the field of robotics and constructing long-term cooperation mechanism.
From 2015 to 2018, the World Robot Conference (WRC) was held four times by the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST, the WFEO national member for China), with the approval from the State Council.
This year’s conference will assemble nearly 200 guests from 22 countries and feature a series of exhibition areas for new technologies and products, such as medical robots, multi-legged robots and smart logistics, said Xu Xiaolan, vice president of the Chinese Institute of Electronics.
Xu added that over 700 robotic products involving 21 sectors will be exhibited at the conference.
Themed “Intelligent Ecosystem for a New Open Era,” the conference will be jointly held by the Beijing municipal government, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the China Association for Science and Technology.
