Technology Times in collaboration with Pakistan Council for Research in Water Resources and is announcing its 13th essay writing contest EssayCon 2019.

This Year’s Title:

‘Hand Washing by all’
Clean Green Pakistan will leave no one behind

Keeping hands clean is one of the most important steps we can take to avoid getting sick and spreading germs to others. Many diseases and conditions are spread by not washing hands with soap and clean, running water. Germs can also get onto hands if people touch any object that has germs on it because someone coughed or sneezed on it or was touched by some other contaminated object. When these germs get onto hands and are not washed off, they can be passed from person to person and make people sick.

Technology Times in collaboration with its partner organizations is organizing in an effort of EssayCon 2019 to harness the energy, creativity and initiative of the Pakistan’s youth in promoting a culture of awareness of Hand Washing and Clean Green Pakistan. It also aims to inspire society to learn from the young minds and to think about how each of us can make a difference in the world.

Essays are judged by a panel of highly qualified judges. Every judgement is opinion-free and anonymously done.
Contest is for higher secondary to university students, either registered or not.
Age limit 18-25.

Judgement Criteria of EssayCon

Judgement Criteria

The judgment criteria will base on;

• Uniqueness of ideas/ Originality 4 points

• Clarity of subject/ Focus on issues 3 points

• Content / Interpretation 3 points

• Technical relevancy 3 points

• Language 2 points

Total : 15 points

In case of tie there will be additional 3 points of presentation (for tie contestants only), which will be awarded on spot at the prize distribution ceremony.

Technology Times has right to accept/reject any or all entries of the EssayCon 2019.

EssayCon 2019 Result

Following is the result of all participants, starting from the 1st position to the contestants having more than 40% marks.

Please note that the result score is the average of all scores given by the evaluation committee, reviewed several times. Result are compiled with lots of effort to make them transparent.

First Prize: PKR 50,000 ARSHIA RANA
Second Prize: PKR 30,000 RAMSHA PANHWAR
Third Prize: PKR 20,000 AQSA WAQAS
