Prof. Dr. Habib Ahmed (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz) awarded the Gold Medal by the President of Pakistan Academy of Sciences (PAS) Prof. Dr. Qasim Jan during a prestigious ceremony organized by the PAS in Islamabad.
Gold Medal and Commendation Certificate was awarded to Prof. Dr. Habib Ahmed in honor of his outstanding service in the field of Botany and Genetics.
Prof. Dr. Habib Ahmed is currently served as Vice Chancellor in Islamia College Peshawar. He is also the Head of the Department of Genetics, Center for Human Genetics, Botany, Department of Zoology, Islamia College, Center for Omic Sciences, Gandhara Study Center, Materials Sciences and IT Industries Innovation Center at Hazara University.
He is Former Vice-Chancellor of Quaid-e-Azam University and Hazara University. He is Founder Chairman of Department of Genetics and Botany it Hazara University. H is known as the 1st Tenured Professor of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.
Professor Dr Habib Ahmed has been honored with several awards in addition to medal for outstanding achievement in the field of research.
He was nominated for the best scientists in the world by American Society of Human Genetics.
He won Best University Teacher Award-2015 from HEC, Government of Pakistan. He also got Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa R&D Effort Award 2015 and six Productive Scientist of Pakistan Awards.
