SJMC Introduces Connected Care For Remote Patient Services

The Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC) has unveiled Connected Care, a ground-breaking ecosystem for remote patient care that revolutionises the way healthcare is delivered by bringing seamless services right to patients’ homes.

Being the first of its kind in Malaysia, this ground-breaking solution places a strong emphasis on connectivity and remote monitoring by a reputable healthcare provider, allowing patients and their loved ones to access healthcare whenever and wherever they need it.

SJMC has joined the MRANTI HealthTech Hub, an initiative of the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI) and the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MoH), in partnership with the Malaysian Research Accelerator for Technology & Innovation (MRANTI), in order to advance healthcare technology further and foster transformative innovation in patient care.

With the most recent addition, SeniorConnect, Connected Care builds upon SJMC’s already-existing HomeConnect and TeleConnect services to cover six different areas of care. Senior patients 65 years of age and older who may be living apart from their loved ones with the help of a carer are the target audience for this service.

A blood glucose test strip, blood glucose monitor, blood pressure monitor, pulse oximeter, thermometer, WiFi modem, and gateway for connectivity to SJMC are all included in the SeniorConnect kit. The Medical Device Authority’s quality standards are met by the SeniorConnect kit, which has received M0H certification.

Subang Jaya Medical Centre (SJMC) is the flagship hospital of Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care, a collaboration between Sime Darby, Malaysia, and Ramsay Health Care, Australia.

A 30 minute drive via major highways will get you to the centre of Kuala Lumpur and the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) from this 444-bed multi-disciplinary and tertiary care private hospital, which is situated in the thriving Subang Jaya township.

SJMC, established in 1985, has accomplished important medical firsts, such as performing the first open-heart surgery in Malaysia, performing stem cell and paediatric liver transplants, performing adult and paediatric bone marrow transplants, and performing brain neurosurgery.
