Zong 4G has triumphed once more after taking home the coveted “Content of the Year” prize at the illustrious Pakistan Digital Awards.
The award honours Zong 4G for their remarkable campaign titled “The Notes of Chagla,” which was released on Independence Day, 2022, as a tribute. It also recognises their exceptional creativity, innovation, and superb execution in this regard.
An innovative campaign called “The Notes of Chagla” won the hearts and minds of millions of people all over the country. Through this outstanding initiative, Zong 4G aimed to highlight the life and accomplishments of A.G. Chagla, an unsung hero whose contributions have irreparably changed our country. For those who don’t know, Ahmed Ghulam Ali Chagla is credited with penning the song that would become our anthem in 1949.
Audiences connected strongly with the campaign, and the attention-grabbing storytelling captured their interest. The viewers were moved by Zong 4G’s commitment to showcasing A.G. Chagla’s remarkable accomplishments, which in turn helped Pakistanis feel patriotic and proud of their country.
In the short film, a young man who is completing his musicology thesis was introduced to the audience. His mother encouraged him to learn more about Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage after witnessing his struggles.
The boy, intrigued, searched for that one perfect melody. During this journey, he came across Pak Sarzameen, the National Anthem written in 1949 by A.G. Chagla, just one year after he was appointed to the National Anthem Committee (NAC).
The protagonist of the movie, titled “Celebrating 75 years of Azadi – The Notes of Chagla,” is given the ability to use digital technology to tell the stories of unsung national heroes, both large and small. The movie was released on all of Zong 4G’s social media channels and starred renowned actors Shehryar Munawar and Simi Raheal.
The fact that Zong 4G won the Content of the Year award shows how dedicated it is to providing engaging and meaningful content. Zong 4G has once again proven its position as a key player in the telecommunications sector by utilising its knowledge and innovation in digital storytelling.
The official Zong 4G spokesperson stated, “We are thrilled and honoured to have received the Content of the Year award for our 14th August campaign, “The Notes of Chagla.” “This award honours our team’s commitment to producing content that engages, motivates, and brings our audience together.
