Dr. Halilu Ahmad Shaba, Director General of the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), received Professor Sohan Jheeta, Chief Executive and Founder of the Network of Research on the Chemical Emergence of Life (NoRCEL), at NASRDA’s headquarters in Abuja. During visit, Dr. Halilu Ahmad stressed the importance of strategic partners in advancing space science education in Nigeria.
Furthermore, he stressed the importance of establishing systems that will position Nigeria as a significant space stakeholder in Africa while encouraging biologists and scientists to take advantage of the opportunities provided by NORCEL.
Professor Sohan Jheeta, the founder and chairman of NoRCEL, praised Dr. Halilu Ahmad Shaba for his ongoing support in collaborating with stakeholders to advance the benefits of astrosciences on the continent and strengthen socioeconomic development at the national level. He also praised the agency for its collaboration with the Center for Basic Space Sciences in Nsukka, Nigeria.
