An international ranking agency University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) has ranked 18 Pakistani Universities in research productivity, collaboration and citation among 2000 universities across the globe for the year 2018.
The URAP ranked universities of Pakistan includes Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU) (B+) , Government College University Faislabad (B),Punjab University (PU) B+, University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) B+,Agha Khan University B+, and National University of Science and Technology B+ (NUST),University of Karachi (B+)
Pakistan Institute of Engineering & Applied Science B+, University of Peshawar (UoP) B, UET-Lahore (B), Lahore University of Management Sciences – LUMS (B),University of Sindh (B), Hazara University (B), University of Veterinary & Animal Science – UVAS (B), Kohat University of Science & Technology (B), COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) (B+), Bahauddin Zakariya University (B+), Dow University of Health Sciences (B).
The ranking agency is working since 2010 and has included 2,500 higher education institutions in the current year across the world.
URAP team members are METU researchers who willingly contribute in URAP Research Lab as public service. The major purpose of URAP is to develop a ranking system for the world universities based on academic performance indicators that imitate the excellence and the magnitude of their erudite publications.
The URAP ranking purely counts on the research publications, collaborations and citations while other factors like gender ratios, foreign students, grants, disciplines diversity have not been considered as being done by other agencies.
