One of the most significant challenge regarding the resolution of Climate Change issues are lack of trust among the nations. The developing and under developed nations located in both Northern and Southern hemispheres have emerged from the Europe dominated Colonial Rule only 6-7 decades back.

They have been ruthlessly exploited socially, politically and economically for few centuries by their colonial masters and suffered irreversible collateral damages. Unfortunately these national also had to endure the ravages of two successive World Wars during that period; which was predominantly wars between the developed nations of the nation. Yet all these countries outside the continents of Europe and North America; located across Asia, Africa and Latin America suffered unequivocally. There was never any compensation paid to these former colonies by their colonial masters when they left them following their independence.
We all understand and appreciate the fact that traditional education and technology need changes for our survival and mere existence on this planet. But unfortunately global geopolitics and selfish self interests of individual countries is holding us back in taking a broad global initiative to work towards effectively for Climate Change mitigation. The rich developed countries have for centuries dominated the field of science and technology; and in doing that they have completely killed or ignored the need, sensitivity, imagination and creativity of other poorer countries inhabiting this planet. The rich western countries have denied to provide any significant financial or technological or intellectual support to developing and under developed nations in coping with the problems and issues of the Climate Change.
The developing and under developed nations are suffering from population pressure, ethnic war and geopolitical rivalries, poor economy, unstable politics, lack of proper infrastructure and necessary Human Resources for dealing with Climate Change. The Colonial Rulers have exploited their former colonies and left them under deplorable and degrading situations. The huge level of corruption, nepotism, negative politics, regional wars, epidemics and uncertain weather patterns have been causing significant distress and destruction of the national economies. The western nations are denying any credible support citing the fact that many such poor nations have been chronic defaulters in the past; and the international financial agencies had to provide huge moratoriums to help them survive those serious economic depressions. Also the western countries are worried that they would have to make life style sacrifices as well as make compromise with the rigours of their intellectual properly rights to facilitate technology transfer to the poor countries. These in turn have negative indirect effect on their local economics and politics. No countries want to be castigated by the agricultural and industrial investors as well as ordinary citizens by forcing them to make accommodations for Climate Change mitigations.
Under these circumstances, the relation of various nations remains very sketchy. Each country being focused on her own interest and economy is failing to take any effective decision for restricting factors promoting Climate Change. These collective inaction on the part of different countries failing work together for a single agenda of protecting Mother Earth from the negative impacts of Climate Change is a serious question for us as well as our next generation. We are all questionable and responsible for our collective inaction that is slowly destroying our planet. We are repeatedly failing deadlines to take necessary actions and again selecting a new date or time frame for our next set of actions.
But the truth is that we have not been able to take the very first step of a global conscience to work together without politics. Corruption also plays a very big role in this Climate Change politics. Big multinational companies with huge corporate funding are behind the success of both ruling abs opposition parties in majority of the most powerful countries. The parliament, senate, congress, parliamentarians, senators or congressmen are all being manipulated from the back under the monumental influence of corporate funding. All bills that are converted into legislature by the law making bodies are thereby influenced by the corporate interests and hence no real actions for Climate Change mitigation is executed at the ground level; other than making elaborate laws, plans, strategies and policies on paper only. Thus we are goi g through a dismal situation as the governments are being heavily influenced and pressured by giant corporate houses that drives and regulates global economy.
