FIRST Global Challenge robotics competition going to held in Washington DC where 6 Pakistani students participating in the inaugural ceremony said a press release issued by the US Embassy.
The Pakistani team will team up with other teams in the world for accomplishing the focused task on access to clean water’, the statement said.
Ali Syed, mentor going with the team, observed that students are preparing for weeks actively after getting encouragement from the winning a competition organized by Lets Innovate.
“It is an honour for our team to represent Pakistan at an international level and showing the world that Pakistanis are also passionate and have an aptitude for problem-solving via robotics, ” Syed said.
Team before their departure departed for the United States has met American Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Jonathan Pratt. He urged to collaborate with 160 other nations and US with their counterparts.
“I hope that you gain advantage from this opportunity and share your ideas about using robotics to solve the biggest problems that Pakistan, the United States, and other countries of the world face,” Pratt said.
