STAFF REPORT ISB: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) governing body has approved the selection of Dr. Arshad Ali as Executive Director of the commission apart from the appointment of Dr. Fateh Muhammad Mari as Adviser Monitoring.
Dr. Arshad Ali is a prolific researcher and academicians. He has over 100 publications to his credit in national and international conferences and refereed journals. He has been awarded gold medal by Pakistan Academy of Sciences and COMSTECH for IT research, “Distinguished Scientists of the Year 2006” award by Pakistan Academy of Sciences, and Presidents Gold medal for best NUST researcher of the year 2005. Dr Arshad is also recipient of Presidents Pride of Performance in IT research.
Dr Arshad initiated research collaboration with CERN, Switzerland and earned the Associate Institute status of CMS-CERN for NUST. He is actively working on various research projects with Stanford USA, Caltech USA, UWE UK, and University of South Brittany France.
