PUBG: New State marks the third battle royale game and first mobile title under the PUBG umbrella that will be developed by PUBG Studio, the company behind PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds. The new PUBG: New State isn’t a replacement for the traditional PUBG Mobile but a more realistic and futuristic game lying under the same parent company.
Both the games PUBG Mobile and PUBG New State follows the same battle royale formula but the New State comes with a more realistic and futuristic approach. According to trailer, the game will set in 2051 with a new map called “Troi”. The year 2051 identifies the expectations of futuristic technology. Troi will the same size as Miramar and Erangel but, it will offer more indoor locations such as shopping malls, etc.
The game is much more similar to COD Mobile as features like the ‘drones’ and ‘defender’ can be seen in the trailer. Weapon customization can also be noticed in the game trailer. The game’s listing on the Google Play Store reads: “Realistic and Dynamic Gunplay. Enjoy realistic gunplay optimized for mobile gaming. Master different weapons and make each of them your own with weapon customization”.
PUBG: New State is available for pre-registration on Google Play Store, but Apple users have to wait a little longer before getting a glimpse of the game on Appstore.
The release date is still not confirmed but it is expected that android users will be experiencing its beta version in March or April whereas iOS release will take some time as the game would not have a beta version due to the way Apple’s App Store verification works.
