STAFF REPORT PEW: An intensive international workshop focusing on Research Avenues ICT Potential Applications for the Country was held by CECOS University in collaboration with National ICT and RandD Fund.
The objective of the workshop was to enumerate different applications of Information Communication Technology in a wide array of fields including power systems, cyber security, nanotechnology, fuel cells, and computational biology.
The targeted audiences of the event were students and professionals from academia and the industry in order to channelize their research on the most daunting issues so to maximize the utility and productivity of the ICT and take benefit of its relentless potentials in number of fields.
Vice Chancellor, CECOS University, Dr Riaz A Khattak during his brief speech on the occasion, extended his gratitude to National ICT and RandD Fund for arranging such important workshop. He said, “Students and researchers need to focus on innovation and find new potential areas and fields in which the ICT can be used apart from conventional application of digitization”.
The active participation of the students, industry professionals was witnessed at the occasion and number of participants also clarified their ambiguities by seeking expert opinions of industry professionals.
