IBTM World and Swapcard have brought state-of-the-art technology innovations to live business events with the goal of improving the experience for exhibitors and attendees.

IBTM World, a global event catering to the Meeting, Incentives, Conference, and Events (MICE) industry, is set to introduce a suite of innovative technologies aimed at optimizing attendee interactions and driving better business outcomes.

Taking place from Nov. 28-30 at Fira de Barcelona in Barcelona, the event will feature an upgraded matchmaking platform, now equipped with a guidance tool called WalkMe.

This new addition guides exhibitors through each step of the preference selection process, enhancing their ability to search for and request appointments with key buyers. In a departure from the past, visitor buyers will also gain access to the matchmaking platform, enabling them to schedule meetings with exhibitors ahead of the event.

To further streamline the process, visitor buyers’ diaries will sync with the official IBTM World mobile app, ensuring easy schedule management. It’s worth noting that visitor buyers must register before Oct. 31 to be eligible for pre-scheduled appointments.

Additionally, IBTM World 2023 has introduced an Exhibitor Dashboard, providing exhibitors with a quick overview of their return on investment (ROI). This tool allows exhibitors to monitor real-time views of their event profiles and track total leads gathered during the event through the Emperia app.

In a bid to enhance efficiency, convenience, and overall value, the event has also partnered with a new registration provider, Iceni Event Solutions. This collaboration will introduce an automated Certification Tool, offering attendees a comprehensive overview of their session attendance and progress post-event.

Swapcard, an event management and revenue generation platform, has unveiled a series of upgrades to its registration module. These improvements are tailored to redefine the event registration experience for organizers and attendees, especially at small- and medium-sized events.

The Unified Registration System allows users to effortlessly build and deploy custom forms, complete with drag-and-drop functionality. The platform also offers flexible pricing structures for various ticket types and incorporates a built-in payment collection system for paid-ticket events.

Furthermore, Swapcard’s registration module is fully customizable, enabling organizers to showcase unique event identities and brands without additional fees. Attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors can also enjoy personalized experiences through a hub featuring AI-driven suggestions for sessions, networking, and lead generation.

In a bid to streamline onsite experiences, organizers can now facilitate hassle-free check-ins, allowing badge scans from the mobile app and offering print-at-home badges for all attendees.
