The competition, which saw an impressive turnout of over 110 players, witnessed Siddique navigating through intense rounds. In a tense semifinal showdown, he triumphed over fellow Pakistani contender Atif Khan with a score of 2-1. Undeterred, Siddique forged ahead to face off against South Korea’s Galgonge in the final, ultimately securing a resounding victory with a decisive 3-0 score.
Taking to the social media platform X to share his elation, Siddique expressed gratitude, stating, “Alhamdulillah, I was able to take #Uprising2023 Challenger event in Korea. This win is special as I was able to win in Korea on my first time here with many of the top players.”
Meanwhile, Atif Khan, who secured the fifth position in the tournament, extended his congratulations to Siddique for his well-deserved triumph. Reflecting on his own performance, Khan acknowledged his disappointment, remarking, “I was upset due to my bad performance, I wanted to win this for the TWT points but I guess this is how things work.”
