A signing ceremony was organized by SLM, which was attended by the Chairman of the Chinese venture partner Chaoyang Long March, Li Qingwen, Chief Executive of SLM, Omar Saeed, Group Director of Punjab Group (parent company of Zero Carbon), Mian Hamza Amer, Managing Director of Huawei Pakistan, Mr. Bilawal, Xing Xiaobing, Principal of Energy Futures Consulting, Samir Ahmad, and others.
In accordance with the terms of the contract, Zero Carbon will plan and build an on-grid solar power plant that is specifically suited to enhance the factory’s energy mix while maintaining its stability.
“We are thrilled to collaborate on this project with SLM, which has quickly risen to the top exporter of engineering goods from Pakistan. Soon, SLM will be able to proudly inform its customers that each premium tyre it manufactures has a smaller environmental impact, according to Mian Hamza Amer.
He emphasized the financial advantages of solar installation and the impressive payback period of less than 4 years.
Through this project, SLM will produce a total of 12,879,000 kWh units, which will result in an annual CO2 reduction of 7,573 tonnes.
