The ZGC Forum, with the theme “Open Cooperation for a Shared Future,” will be held in Beijing from May 25 to May 30 according to Wu Zhaohui, Vice Minister of Science and Technology. At the Monday briefing, Wu announced this.

The development of a platform that will encourage international cooperation in scientific and technological innovation is receiving a lot of attention at this year’s forum.

Nearly 200 international organisations and institutions, as well as visitors from more than 80 countries and regions, will take part in the forum. Over 40 percent of the presentations will be made by foreign speakers, who will make up nearly 120 of the world’s top experts, including 17 Nobel Prize-level guests.

Wu stated, “We hope that this forum will demonstrate to the world that China’s door for scientific and technological cooperation will only keep expanding.”

“The event’s six main sections will each contain more than 150 activities. With a focus on cutting-edge fields like artificial intelligence, life science, and clean energy as well as popular topics like data governance, women in technology, and digital sports, the 2023 Zhongguancun (ZGC) Forum will feature 55 parallel forums.”

Six exhibition spaces will be set up for the ZGC Forum in 2023, with a focus on showcasing blockchain, luxury manufacturing, the gene and cell therapy, and other fields of cutting-edge scientific and technological advancements.

Additionally, it will feature 26 technology transfer and cutting-edge technology innovation competition events, in which more than 2,500 teams from more than 30 countries and regions will compete. There have been 13 runs of the ZGC Forum since its beginning in 2007.
