Federal Ministry of Education and Professional Training (MoFEPT) in that regard, organised an orientation session at Allama Iqbal Open University.

The “Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Programme in Science” (SAKURA Exchange Program in Science) is sending up to 9 students from various Pakistani educational institutions on a 7-day visit to Japan.

Federal Ministry of Education and Professional Training (MoFEPT) in that regard, organised an orientation session at Allama Iqbal Open University.

Nasreen Bano, Joint Education Advisor for MoFEPT, and Prof. Dr. Irshad Ahmed Arshad, Dean of the Faculty of Science at AIOU, presided over the event. Syed Ghulam Kazim Ali, Dr. Rifat Jabeen from the Directorate of Education, Dr. Zaigham Qadeer, Dr. Kanwal, and Dr. Afshah Huma from the Directorate of Student Affairs at AIOU were also present. According to Dr. Irshad Ahmad Arshad, we are proud of the kids who were chosen for the trip to Japan.

He urged the students, telling them that this trip would change their lives, that they would become more skilled, and that they would then be able to compete with foreign students in any field. According to Nasreen Bano, Pakistan has an abundance of talent.

The “SAKURA Exchange Program in Science” was launched by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) in 2014. Since then, the programme has invited young, talented foreign employees to Japan for brief stays, giving them the chance to experience both the country’s cutting-edge culture and science and technology.

Exchange plans created by overseas sending organisations and Japanese receiving organisations are made available for adoption by the public.

The following goals of the Sakura Science Program: To support the development of talented human resources from overseas who have the potential to contribute to innovation in science and technology; To Accelerate the international brain cycle; To promote continuous collaboration, cooperation and interaction between Japanese educational and research institutes and overseas ones; To strengthen good relationship between Japan and other countries and regions that will help science and technology diplomacy.
