15 fully funded scholarships in a range of study areas, including biomedical sciences, pharmacy, management sciences, statistics, medical imaging sciences, electrical engineering, electronics & electrical systems, and dietetics & nutritional sciences, are being offered by COMSTECH in partnership with The University of Lahore.

The Staff of Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital (EFSTH), The Gambia, has been informed about an exciting opportunity by COMSTECH, the OIC Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (UoL). For undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students, these fully funded scholarships are available.

Mr. Awais Raoof, Chairman of the Board of Governors of The University of Lahore, stated, “We intend to facilitate the Gambia’s education and health sectors through scholarships and capacity building. Because the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital is the only teaching hospital in the Gambia and the main referral centre for the entire country, with a capacity of over 600 beds, I am confident that our assistance will benefit their health sector as well as the community. We are committed to expanding the scope of our support for EFSTH and the Gambians in the future.”

All selected students will be able to study at UOL, and the primary goal of these scholarships is to support and uplift The Gambia’s education and health sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity for students to pursue their educational goals while also contributing to their country’s growth and development.

COMSTECH thanks the administration of The University of Lahore for their unwavering support and dedication to this noble cause, as well as their support for COMSTECH and its programmes.

The scholarships available will not only provide financial assistance, but will also allow students to gain exposure to a different culture and academic environment.
