Soybean Regarded As Healthiest Food Ever Produced

Negotiations between Ukraine and Poland continued regarding the import and transit of Ukrainian agricultural products through Polish territory on Tuesday in Warsaw.

According to Robert Telus, the Polish Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, the parties are attempting to reach an agreement that would allow them to resume the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products through Poland to third countries.

Telus stated that the talks were ongoing yesterday and would continue today. These are the typical technical discussions to resolve the issue and resume transit operations to Europe.

Both delegations met on Monday, with Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland Mateusz Morawiecki in attendance.

Telus noted that since April 15, 2023, no food items had been brought into Poland from Ukraine. According to him, Poland is in discussions with the European Commission and Ukraine to come up with an appropriate solution.

“We want these goods to travel to Europe because that market is crucial, but rather than staying domestically, we want them to travel farther into Europe. Finding a solution that will guarantee this is necessary”, Telus emphasised.

He believed that the costs of aiding Ukraine should be borne by both Polish farmers and those in the EU. Telus added that while negotiations between Poland and the European Commission are challenging, Brussels is making an effort to find a solution in response to Warsaw’s decisive actions.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Economy of Poland, which dates back to 1944, was transformed into the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Poland in October 1999.

The creation of the Ministry in 1999 resulted from the fact that both coalition and opposition politicians agreed that Poland’s greatest political, economic, and social challenge was the development of its rural areas. The ministry is focused on enhancing Poland’s rural areas and various facets of its agriculture.
