The event at University of Management and Technology (UMT) was held to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Syed Abidi, CEO of Falcon Education, and the University of Management and Technology to organize career counselling and guidance seminars and to assist students and faculty seeking admissions to world-class universities through scholarships, exchange programs, and short summer camps.

Career counselling and guidance seminars provide individuals with information and advice about different career options, job search strategies, and other related topics.

Syed Abidi, a veteran educator and renowned career counsellor met with the director general, rector, and deans of the University of Management and Technology (UMT) in Lahore.

Syed Abidi spoke at length at a meeting organized by the UMT DG and the Office of Internationalization UMT about the growing trend of internationalization and academic partnerships around the world and how this has helped institutions improve their quality of education and learning outcomes in general.

Syed Abidi highlighted several opportunities available to universities and institutions in Pakistan, particularly following the launch of the Pak-UK Education Gateway, a collaborative project of the British Council and HEC that allows Pakistani universities and institutions in the higher education sector to engage with British universities for academic mobility, research, and training.

Syed Abidi’s visit was welcomed by Abid Sherwani, Co-Founder and DG of UMT, who agreed that Pakistani universities should establish relevant academic links with international universities, and Syed Abidi can play a key role in assisting UMT in bridging this gap.

He praised Syed Abidi’s free educational services and expressed confidence that UMT students seeking higher education abroad would receive proper guidance and timely admissions, in addition to scholarships and fee discounts through Falcon Education and Consultancy Services.

Dr. Asif Raza, rector of UMT, also thanked Syed Abidi and praised UMT’s initiative in engaging services for UMT students.

Deans from various departments and academics attended this event and asked pertinent questions, expressing their excitement to learn more about international opportunities, exchange programs, and research opportunities that will assist UMT in innovating its academic environment and culture through inward and outward faculty visits.
