Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari Karachi Sindh, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology are celebrating Student’s Week (Happy Graduation Week) from 21st -25th November 2022.
The main objective to celebrate this week at Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari is to provide a platform to students as well as faculty to learn, cooperate and show their true potential by participating in different activities. The main theme chosen for this event is Happy Graduation Week.
Graduation Day One :
On 21st November faculty of computer science and information technology at Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari celebrate Plantation Day. Plantation Day is celebrated to create the awareness that we all together can play a vital role in protecting the environment through personal involvement. plantation day is celebrated to create awareness among young minds about the invaluable resource on our planet – plants and trees. Students came to know about the importance of trees for our environment and the ecosystem.
Graduation Day Two :
On 22nd November faculty of computer science and information technology, conducted sessions on different topics time to time to strengthen the knowledge of students: One on Web 3.0 and Mera Verse and Second session was on Mobile Journalism. Professional speakers were invited to deliver their talks including sharing their experiences in both sessions. The chief guest for both sessions was Madam Tanzeela Ume Habiba, the special assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh for Information Science and Technology, government Sindh.
Graduation Day Three :
On 23rd November students of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari celebrate Character day and students dressed up as their favorite characters. The content of the characters was their choice so we saw a variety of themes that included culture, horror, medieval era, superheroes and some villains. The purpose to organize this day was to give students ownership for a day and celebrate it on their own. Soon we saw students engaged in taking pictures and making videos of the plays their character portrays. They were joined by the teachers who were actively taking part in videography. The day passed in a light mood with lots of positive vibes as it seemed that we were having a fair or festival with lots of cackles and laughter.
Graduation Day Fourth :
On 24th November final year students of the faculty of computer science and information technology celebrated comments day to write comments on shirts.
The next day faculty organize a farewell party for final years students.
The chairman of Faculty CSIT, Professor Dr. Mazhar Ali Dootio said that “ Faculty of CSIT has taken a positive step to organize student’s week (Happy Graduation Week), this event has brought the students together. Student’s week is another initiative taken by FCSIT to provide a platform to its students to explore, discover, and learn and develop a communal bond. Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University Lyari Karachi, believes higher education is a lifetime experience where lives and careers of students are formed and the university always endeavors its best to promote their students and expose them to different opportunities in order to enhance their abilities and skills.’’
