The National Skills University Islamabad (NSU) received HEC recognition in August 2021 to initiate six undergraduate programs. Within six months, upon completing all requirements, the university arranged the first visit of the regulatory body, the National Technology Council (NTC) Pakistan. The NTC team headed by Prof. Attaullah Shah, Vice Chancellor Karakoram International University, included civil, electrical, information, and mechanical engineering technologies evaluators and experts. The visiting team experts guided faculty to strengthen in various areas including expansion of existing training facilities, provision of research funds, and implementation of outcome-based education (OBE) in true spirit.

The visiting team lauded the university administration for bringing competent faculty, technologists, and an approval from the University Senate for services delivery to the public through NSU workshops in automotive, refrigeration, mobile repair, and IT projects. The Vice Chancellor NSU promised 100% compliance with national regulatory bodies and aligning the curricula of NSU offered programs with contemporary global demands.
