Details on the Upcoming Prime Data Center

In expanding its foothold in the global technological center, Prime Data Centers announced its target to finish its new Silicon Valley facility by Q2 2022. Construction is expected to begin this year and will include the following capabilities:

  • About 80,000 square feet of area, all for a purpose-built data center space.
  • 9MW of critical capacity, with provisions for N+1 redundancy.
  • World-class connectivity options
  • Designs to achieve optimal power reliability and economics in the entire Silicon Valley

“Santa Clara is one of the most desired data center locations globally due to its proximity to the vibrant and structurally important San Francisco Bay Area. In addition, the relatively affordable power rates from Silicon Valley Power (SVP) are very advantageous,” shares Jeff Barber, EVP for Sales and Business Development at Prime Data Centers. “Yet, it is difficult to find wholesale data center space in this area because of the scarcity and expense of available real estate, and the difficulty of obtaining guarantees that the power is available to service the new capacity. Prime has such assurances from SVP in hand today.”

Additionally, the upcoming Martin Avenue data center will be located only one mile away from the Prime Data Centers flagship 9MW Santa Clara center, which the company recently pre-leased to Cyxtera Technologies, an IT service management company. Similarly, Prime has announced that its upcoming Martin Avenue facility will also e available for free leasing, with interested parties encouraged to contact Prime.

With the upcoming Martin Avenue location, Prime Data Centers demonstrate its commitment to developing data centers across the most sought-after markets – the latest following three of their data centers across California. Additionally, Prime is also expanding its global presence with active developments across both US and Europe.
