Recently, Shafqat Mahmood Federal Minister for Education announced that all the educational institutions will reopen from 15th September.
After this announcement the government allowed the universities to call their Ph.D. students to their labs so that the students can continue their research work.
All the educational institutions in Pakistan have been permitted to open up their academic and administrative offices to make preparations for a safe reopening, also the institutes are asked to ensure implementation of SOPs.
On the other hand, the decision to reopen hostels for the students will be taken after Eid-ul-Azha and observing the coronavirus situation in the country.
According to the sources, all those students existing in the hostels will go through coronavirus tests. Moreover, the colleges and universities will be permitted to conduct entry tests and as well as examinations under strict SOPs.
The announcement to reopen educational institutes from 15th September came out last week. The news was announced by the federal minister for education Shafaqat Mahmood.
The provinces have also asked the government to articulateSOPs for the schools.
The education minister said that the coronavirus situation will be reviewed once again before the reopening of the educational institutions. If the situation gets better, then the educational institutes will reopen from 15th September.
