Coronavirus outbreak, 20 cities in the country declared most dangerous

Federal Minister Asad Omar has said that the spread of Corona virus has been declared as the most dangerous in 20 cities of the country. According to details, a review meeting on the implementation of Code 19 situation and SOPs across the country was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Federal Minister Asad Umar.

It was informed in the meeting that at present 20 cities of the country are dangerous in terms of the spread of Corona virus. Extreme levels of coronavirus have been reported in 20 cities. Asad Omar said the corona virus was spreading rapidly in 20 cities across the country. It was further informed that action is being taken to ensure implementation of Health Guidelines in different parts of the country. During the last 24 hours, a total of 10439 violations of SOPs were reported across the country.

It was informed that action was taken against 937 markets, 22 industries, 1117 vehicles for violating SOPs, smart locking was done at various places across the country under testing, tracing and quarantine policy. It was informed that smart lockdown was carried out in 249 places for a population of 780,000 in Punjab and 28 places for a population of 1.722 million in Sindh. It was informed that Smart Lockdown has been implemented in 601 places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 44 places in Azad Kashmir, 10 places in Islamabad and 14 places in Gilgit-Baltistan. Issues related to oxygen supply were also discussed.

It was informed that by the end of July, 2150 oxygen beds will be added.
