Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) will launch Toyota Yaris in Pakistan by end of March 2020.
The company started its operations in 1989 as a joint venture between the House of Habib,Toyota Tsusho and Toyota Motor Corporation. Indus Motor Co. is the authorized assembler and manufacturer of Toyota vehicles, auto parts and accessories in Pakistan.
There have been loads of rumors prevailing about the launch of Toyota Yaris in Pakistan since two years now on social media with many of them stating that Toyota Indus planned on replacing their popular Toyota Corolla 1.3 litre variants with the Yaris sedan.
Toyota Yaris is also known as Toyota Vios in some markets and you might already be familiar with the hatchback version of Yaris which is already popular in country and goes by the name Vitz.
Officials said that launching 1.3 liter variant of Yaris in Pakistan by end of March 2020 and the car will come in both manual and automatic transmission options just like the Toyota Corolla.
It is also too early to speak about features that included with the car as the Toyota Indus (IMC) has a reputation of dialing down the features of their cars compared to their international counterparts. Also, its not just IMC but all local manufacturers carry the same practice.
Toyota Yaris 1.3 litre is expected to launch at Rs. 2,400,000/-. There is currently no information on the price of the 1.5 litre variant or even if it is going to be launched at all.
