An International Chemistry Workshop for Young Scientists (ICWYS 2020) was jointly organized by the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (OIRC) – University of Peshawar, National Center of Excellence in Physical Chemistry, University of Peshawar and Pakistan Academy of Sciences at NCE in Physical Chemistry, University of Peshawar (UoP).
Vice Chancellor UoP Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asif Khan (TI), graced the inaugural ceremony as the Chief Guest who flagged the importance of networking in research community. He appreciated the efforts of organizers for promotion of science & technology.
On the first day of the said workshop, the Chief Organizer, Mr. Zahoor Ahmad, Director, ORIC –UoP welcomed the participants and highlighted the objectives of the event. Prof. Dr. Abdul Naeem, Director, NCE in Physical Chemistry briefly highlighted the achievements and history of the NCE in Physical Center.
The foreign speakers Prof. Dr. Fehim FINDIK, Prof. Dr. Mehmut OZACOR, Dr. Osman IYIBILGIN, Dr. Iskender OSZOY talked about the new developments and latest methods of research in the field of chemistry.
On the 2nd day of workshop Meritorious Prof. Dr. Bashir Ahmad (TI), Dean, Faculty of Life & Environmental Sciences, UoP Graced the closing ceremony as Chief Guest. He hailed that science has common language and that connect the people of different regions of the world.
Dr. Hameedullah and Dr. Murtaza Sayed put light on the importance of chemistry in our society. At the end Prof. Dr. Abdul Naeem thanked the participants in his vote of thanks.
