PTA share concern regarding Pakistan portrayed unfairly in report issued by Freedom HouseFreedom on the Net is a Freedom House project consisting of cutting-edge analysis, fact-based advocacy, and on-the-ground capacity building. It features a ranked, country-by-country assessment of online freedom, a global overview of the latest developments, as well as in depth country reports.

Most content of the said report is based on newspaper articles to which PTA has been responding from time to time as the articles contained inaccurate information. The main report and country report seem heavily biased and one sided in portraying internet freedom in Pakistan.

PTA does not endorse the contents of the report as it does not show the true picture of internet freedom in Pakistan.

Moreover, PTA hopes that Freedom House will suitably amend the report, and in future will review the findings of the report before publication and also seek opinion of PTA and other relevant stakeholders to make the report more credible.
