A three member Chinese Delegation of senior scientists and researchers from Pakistan Study Centre, Beijing Technology & Business University (BTBU), People’s Republic of China visited Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre (PASTIC), Islamabad on 5th September 2019 and a meeting was held with the senior officers of the PASTIC and the Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF).
The delegation was comprising of Ms Zhu Zhenrong, Associate Professor, Department of International Trade, School of Economics, Beijing Technology and Business University, Dr Di Yuna, Executive Director, Associate Professor, Department of International Trade, School of Economics, BTBU and Mr Jia Wei, First Secretary (Science & Technology), Chinese Embassy Pakistan. Prof. Dr Muhammad Akram Shaikh warmly welcomed the delegation and gave a brief presentation about the PASTIC mandate and activities.
He gave a brief demonstration about online information resources of PASTIC. During the visit, the officials of the two organizations discussed avenues for bilateral mutual collaboration.
Representatives of both the countries agreed upon bilateral cooperation by establishing appropriate mechanisms for Agreement. In the end the Chinese delegation expressed hopes of future cooperation between the organizations of the two friendly neighboring countries.
DG Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre (PASTIC) thanked the Chinese delegation and presented souvenir/shields to the delegates.
