Petition filed in LHC seeking ban on tiktok in Pakistan

The eminent scorching app TikTok heftily becomes the preferred app of choice to gain fame of seconds seeing a petition filed against the entertaining app.

Petition filed in LHC seeking ban on tiktok in PakistanConsidering the unethical and illegal use of social platform an Advocate Nadeem Sarwar approached the Lahore High Court seeking a ban on TikTok in Pakistan for being a source of vulgarity and pornography.

Advocate Nadeem Sarwar in his petition states “TikTok is a great mischief of modern times. It is destroying the youth and promoting immoral activities.”

The Federal Ministry of Law, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) have been listed as party in the petition.

The petition requested the court to direct the PTA to restrict TikTok in the country while instructing the federal government to draft a privacy protection act and PEMRA to stop broadcasting the videos.

Keeping the fact of illegal acts recently, in quest of a fame a young man Sajid Khan from Jhelum went a little too far because of entertaining app, he’s now behind the bars.

Moreover, in January 2019 a citizen belonging to Nowshera filled a complaint at Pakistan’s citizen portal to banned the entertaining app.

The tiktok app named as “Social-ill’ because it adversely affecting the community making people in trouble. So to keep the community healthier and productivie a petition requested to High Court.
