STAFF REPORT LHR: The Punjab University (PU) held its 123rd convocation to confer degrees to students of various disciplines. PU holds eminent reputation in academic sphere of the country and it is important to note that Noble Prize Winner, Dr Abdul Salam also belonged to this prestigious university.
Vice Chancellor PU, Dr Mujahid Kamran while addressing on the occasion said, “Education is the way forward for Pakistan in order to hone for a brighter future and sustainable development. The innovation, technology and education are interlinked and Pakistan is full of natural resources which can be exploited to meet various energy, agriculture, and medical needs of the country”.
VC further lauded the efforts of PU in imparting quality education for long time and becoming a top notch educational institution of country.
According to the source, almost 100 PhDs, 618 MPhil/MS, 289 Masters, 156 undergraduate degrees and 173 medals distributed among the students. A total of 1336 degrees, medals and prizes were distributed.
The students, parents, journalists, eminent academicians were present on the occasion who hailed the hard work of high achievers.
