STAFF REPORT ISB: The education reforms in country are required in order to improve quality of education and target under privileged fractions of society and push them into mainstream of literacy to uplift the socio-economic landscape of Pakistan to the desired level.
The 6th Inter Provincial Education Minister Conference was organized to deliberate education reforms, improve coordination in education sector amongst provinces, identify shady areas that need embellishment, and propose viable solutions for sustainable growth in the sector.
The Minister of State for Education Balighur Rehman said while chairing the meeting, “The provinces and the center need to put an integrated effort to escalate literacy in Pakistan and improve its quality. The incorporation of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in education sector is the need of present day in not only imparting the education but also in effective administration of education departments in the country”.
“The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) efforts in digitizing the education sector by introducing several useful applications and softwares is certainly a commendable job”, he added.
The academicians and senior officials of education department from all provinces outlined the need of technical education and improving its standards for national development.
