STAFF REPORT KHI: An agreement was recently inked between Standard Chartered Bank and InfoTel Pakistan (leading internet and transaction security solutions company). According to the agreement InfoTel will establish EMV Chip Card issuance system in Standard Chartered Banks to ensure the transaction and internet security taking that will take reliability of Bank to the next level. The EMV Chip cards contain embedded microchip that carries encrypted information reducing the vulnerability of possible theft of cardholder information.



Mr. Shezad Arif, Head of Retail Clients, Standard Chartered Pakistan said, “It is pertinent for us to provide our clients with ease of banking and meanwhile it is also significant to provide them with best secure and accessible transactions modes.”


Mr. Riaz Siddiqui, CEO InfoTel remarked, “We are pleased to have joined hands with Standard Chartered Pakistan for this implementation. Thales P3 technology will provide Standard Chartereds clients with security, and provide Standard Chartered the flexibility to addnew applicationsduring the cardslife time.”
