Open Parliament Pakistan – leading parliamentary portal which tracks and provides information about all activities in Senate, National Assembly and provincial assemblies of Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. The initiative aims to improve parliamentary transparency and accountability to foster the trust on democratic institutions.

Funded by the European Commission (EC), the Parliament Watch and Reforms (PWR) lakes forward the unique direct observation of the Federal Parliament of Pakistan by FAFIEN. Overall, PWR strive to generate an objective discourse and action on performance of elected representatives at legislative bodies contributing to parliamentary reforms.
Around the world, the parliaments take initiatives to evaluate their relations with the citizens not only to inform and highlight their work but also encourage a two-way communication channel. The Civil Society Organizations are also working to supplement their efforts and bridge the gap between the parliaments and constituents.
Based on FAFEN’s observation data and information the PWR Web Portal is a comprehensive window on the parliament. It collates not only for FAFEN’s parliamentary work but also work with others to become a one-stop forum for information on the parliament.
Being a hub of parliamentary information, it is a source of reliable information for parliamentarians, civil society organizations, academia, development experts and international parliamentary organizations.
The Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN) was established in 2006 as a coalition of 30 domestic non-governmental organizations to observe general elections and mobilize voters. The Asia Foundation facilitated the formation of the network. However, the purpose-based network continued its working even after February 2008 general elections and expanded its scope of work from election oversight and reforms to parliamentary oversight and reforms, governance oversight and reforms and political parties’ oversight and reforms. FAFEN is supported by the Trust for Democratic Education and Accountability (TDEA).
FAFEN continues to implement robust programs in-between elections that include observation of all provincial and federal legislatures, connecting constituents to their elected representatives, observing performance of the public and elected institutions and advocating for electoral and democratic reforms. FAFEN also monitors political and electoral violence, peace activities and promote active citizenry through civic and electoral education activities in areas where female voter registration is less than their male counterparts.
