NTDC Plants 5000 saplings and trees in different Power grids Stations in Punjab

National Transmission and Despatch Company Limited (NTDC) has planted 5000 saplings and trees at different location of various grid stations in  the Punjab province to support the Clean and Green Pakistan initiative taken by Prime Minister of Pakistan.

NTDC Plants 5000 saplings and trees in different Power grids Stations in PunjabClean Green Pakistan (CGP) is a flagship five-year campaign of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr Imran Khan. The government aims to implement environmental activities under this campaign in Islamabad and other provinces of Pakistan.

The representative said that NTDC was keeping up and working its 500 kV and 220 kV matrix stations and transmission lines all through Pakistan.

Initially 5000 trees have been planted by NTDC at grid station located at Lahore, Nokhar (Gujranwala), Yousafwala (Sahiwal), New Lahore South, Faisalabad, Samundri, Ludewala (Sargodha),Toba Tek Singh, Bandala (Faisalabad), Shiekhupura , Jaranwala , Kala Shah Kaku, Gakhar, Sialkot, Kassowal, Sarfraz Nagar and Okara.

The representative said that the officers and NTDC staff has showed keen interest in plantation of different plants at their sites and locations of grid stations throughout Punjab.

He further said that campaign of tree plantation would proceed and would also be extended to different parts of the country.

The representative from NTDC added that a concerted effort of the public and institution was direly needed to fight against the persistent and serious threats of climate change, global warming and greenhouse gases for clean and green Pakistan.
