Pasta straws alternative of plastic straws

Plastic straws have been used since so many years for drinking purpose but most plastics don’t decompose, or biodegrade, when we toss them.

Pasta straws alternative of plastic strawsPlastics can stay in landfills for hundreds of years. And plastic in the ocean floats around as small pieces (called microplastics) that can poison animals and hurt the environment. Straws are only one small part of the problem. Humans have created about 9.1 billion tons of plastic since inventing the material, and we don’t recycle most of it. Straws probably make up a very, very small percentage of our trash worldwide. But they’ve recently gotten a lot of attention because of how difficult they are to recycle.

Pasta straws also called stroodles, “As with any straw, it is not recommended to drink hot beverages with it, as it might cause probable injury like tongue burn. “Stroodles are recommended for use with cold drinks, unless you want to make a noodle soup.

It’s important to limit your use of plastic for a few reasons. First, it takes energy and resources to make any object, which means to make plastic, we must create pollution and sacrifice dwindling resources such as water and fossil fuels. Many items made out of thin plastic, such as straws and grocery bags, are meant to be used once. In most cases, it’s better for the environment to make and buy products that last a long time.

Pasta straws can be used in place of plastic straws to limit the environmental pollution caused by small sized plastic straws.  Pasta straws are becoming increasingly popular across Europe. The UK Government has confirmed the ban of plastic straws, drink stirrers and plastic cotton buds in England in March 2020.

Stroodles is a pasta straw-making company Italy that claims their straws are the most eco-friendly beating paper and plastic straws. these straws are  basically bucatini — straight, tubular lengths of uncooked noodles. But while they’re all made in Italy from the same semolina as the pasta you’d put on your plate, these straws are a little heartier than the average macaroni They hold their strength and shape in cold drinks plus will decompose virtually overnight after being discarded. However, there are some disadvantages of  using pasta straws. One is the fact that pasta straws, like metal straws, are hard and unbendable, which isn’t ideal for people with disabilities who have limited mobility and need flexibility.

CONCLUSION

Pasta straws are literally playing an important role in reducing the pollution caused by plastic straws and it is the best replacement of traditional plastic and paper straws which pose high environmental pollution troubles. These straws can be recycled unlike plastic straws and also safe to use and can prevent human beings from health complications such as bloat and gas which are caused by the plastic straws. These edible straws may be a pathway to awareness and education, but at the crux of it all is a much-needed shift to fuel these innovations in our drinking habits toward  behavioral changes and environmental passion. There’s no magic fix, but the prospect of what new alternative is being cooked up next is promising.
