Sometimes they are told the good news of promotion in the next classes and sometimes they are told that the promotion law is not present in the Boards Act.
Irfan Talib said that the federal government had not done any work for the promotion of children and all the decisions were taken in a hurry without taking all the stakeholders into confidence.
He said that when Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood visited Pakistan The chairman of all the boards of education had called a meeting in Islamabad and asked for his opinion. Why didn’t the chairman at that time say that there is no law in the Promotion Board Act? has been given.
Both academics called for a review of the Boards Act and for stakeholders to be taken into confidence to change many of the clauses that are not in favor of students.
