STAFF REPORT FBD: COMSATS Internet Services (CIS) has planned to offer cloud solution along with video conferencing services from the coming year starting from January.

“COMSATS posted 18 per cent growth in revenues in 2011-12 and is set to grow further adding new services into its fold during the upcoming year,” said Asim Shahryar Husain, Chief Executive Officer of CIS, at an event recently organized for COMSATS employees in Faisalabad. Advisor COMSATS Tajammul Husain was the chief guest on the occasion.

A large number of employees of CIS from other cities including Islamabad, Peshawar, Lahore, Faisalabad, and Sialkot attended the event.

“CIS is also offering social services such as telehealth, training, and software to benefit society,” said GM Administration, Mr. Muhammad Hassan, while addressing the audience.

He announced the launch of a new CIS training centre in the city in order to offer training courses in Cisco, Microsoft, Linux, and web development.

Later, a shield and awards were also given to employees who had contributed to the success of the CIS last year.

Earlier, Tajammul congratulated CIS on its successes last year and mentioned that COMSATS is recognized for the quality of its services be it education or internet for the last 16 years.
