Punjab Agriculture Additional Secretary (Task Force) Rana Ali Arshad presiding over a meeting said that the Punjab Agriculture (Extension) wing has a very important role to engage in recreation and capacity building of farmers under the agricultural productive sector.
He further added that poisons were being used on crops because the pest reconnaissance department was not giving appropriate assistance to growers.
Few officers had failed to meet their targets to bump up the accurate cropping development; they are warned to improve their working.
Rana Ali emphasized that rebellion in agriculture was possible with the help of the latest agricultural research and to overcome the menace challenges of climate change.
Agricultural experts/scientists should focus on developing varieties which could abide with maximum scorching weather and produce good amount of yield with a reduced amount of water.
