The Faculty of Pharmacy at Gomal University, in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), successfully concluded a three-day workshop today. The event was graced by an impressive lineup of speakers, including international and national experts, who delivered insightful talks on modern teaching techniques and strategies.

The Vice Chancellor of Gomal University, in his closing remarks, commended the organizers for orchestrating such an informative and educational event. He particularly praised the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Gomal University, Dr. Barkat Ali Khan, and encouraged the continuation of such valuable workshops on a regular basis.

In a significant announcement, the Vice Chancellor pledged support for the procurement of a high-value instrument worth 10 million rupees for the Gomal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (GCPS).

During the workshop, a diverse range of topics were addressed. Dr. Adnan Jamil shared his expertise on effective course design and learning goals, while Dr. Abid Hussain discussed the importance of diversity in the classroom. Dr. Khurram Waqas shed light on the crucial role of communication skills in teaching.

On the first day of the workshop, attendees had the privilege of learning from Prof. Wasif, who highlighted interactive teaching techniques, and Dr. Barkat Ali Khan, who emphasized empathy in teaching. The event also featured insights from Dr. Hashmat Ullah Khan, Dr. Kifayat Ullah, Dr. Fazal Rehman, and Dr. Zahid Rasul, adding diverse perspectives to the discussions.

The opening of the workshop was graced with a warm welcome note from Dr. Haroon Khan on the first day, setting the tone for the engaging sessions that followed. Dr. Muhammad Ali effectively managed the proceedings as the stage secretary for the event.

Additionally, the workshop’s Organizing Committee Members (OCM), including Dr. M. Khalid Khan, Dr. Tahir Mashal, Dr. Shahid Latif, Mr. Shakira Ullah, and Dr. Rukhshanda Habib, played instrumental roles in the event’s success. Their dedication was further complemented by the efforts of Miss Hamna, Miss Humaira, Mr. Suleiman, and Mr. Waqas, who offered their valuable assistance throughout the workshop.
